The Picture of Dorian Gray (2012)

‘Pregnant Fish’s Dorian Gray is, in many ways, precisely what theatre should try to be: relevant to both company and audience and richly ambitious… This is also the kind of theatre that people should get used to seeing… tangible and human scaled.’ – Christopher Fear, Empire of The Will

The Picture of Dorian Gray‘ is a original adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s classic gothic novella. Mixing songs, dance and intimate performance, Pregnant Fish’ unique take on Dorian premiered at the Rose and Crown, London before going on to the Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter and the Edinburgh Fringe with PBH’s Free Fringe in 2012.

‘Song, dance, comedy, murder, back stabbing, butt clench-ingly creepy stuff, love, hatred, screams, tears, sweat, choreography, desire & some cracking performances in a challenging production. All in a evenings work for the Pregnant Fish Theatre Company it seems. Top notch stuff’ – Audience member at The Bike Shed Theatre
