Johnny Jim and the Dragon of O’Brooke

Dartmoor

Commissioned by The Dartmoor Folk Festival, Pregnant Fish brought forgotten Devonshire folk tales to life in an interactive family friendly show full of puppetry and songs to the festival in 2011. A collection of local folk stories re-imagined for a young audience, including the tale of the Dragon of O’Brooke – When Johnny Jim sets off with his friend Anne the Lamb to slay the mean old Dragon and be back in time for tea, he meets a cunning fox, a mysterious old crone, and a beautiful Dame (and Charles the potato).
